Hardscape is the half of a yard you cannot redo cheaply, so it is worth getting right the first time. Base depth, compaction and drainage are what decide whether a patio still looks like this in ten years. That is the part we do not cut.

A paver patio is only as good as what is under it. We dig it out, build and compact the base, screed the sand, then lay the field and cut the borders in. Done that way it stays flat and it stays put.
Squares, circles, running bond or a banded border. If you want a pattern, bring us a picture and we will lay it out on the ground before anything is set.
Stamped concrete gives you the look of stone or brick in one continuous pour. Fewer joints, less to shift, and a lot of pattern and colour to pick from.
We form it, pour it, stamp it while it is green, then cure and seal. Patios, porches, walkways and pool decks.
A retaining wall is holding back dirt and water, so it gets built like it. Footing dug below grade, base compacted, block set level course by course, backfilled with clean stone and drained.
Seat walls, planters, pillars and steps go in the same way. Caps get glued down so nothing walks loose over a winter.
A walkway takes the same base work as a patio and a lot more edge cutting. We lay the line out on the ground first so you can walk it before anything is dug.
Steps get built to a consistent rise so nobody catches a toe on the way to the door.
A fire pit is the reason most people finally build the patio. Wood burning or gas, round or square, freestanding or built into a seat wall.
We set it as part of the patio layout so the seating actually works around it, rather than dropping it in afterwards.
Once the ground is right, the rest of the yard follows. Pergolas over a patio, a built-in grill run, a bar with stone facing and a counter.
